ANANTA Combat System Guide

Four interlocking systems make ANANTA's combat tick. Learn how they compound and you'll clear content a full tier above your level.

01

4-Member Live Switching

Your squad of four swaps in real time mid-combat. Swapping is not just a menu — chained swaps feed into combo windows and keep elemental reaction uptime continuous across the whole team.

  • › Swap on cooldown during boss stagger phases
  • › Chain elements across swaps (e.g. Ice → Volt → Fire)
  • › Off-field characters often passively support the active one
02

Elemental Reactions

Six elements interact when applied in sequence — freeze, burn, electro-charge, and more. Reactions scale off the triggering hit, so order matters more than raw stats.

  • › Apply the setup element first, trigger second
  • › Environmental surfaces (water, oil) change reaction rules
  • › Bosses have elemental resistance phases — rotate accordingly
03

Environmental Weapons

Nova City itself is your arsenal: rip up street signs, launch manhole covers, kick traffic cones, throw bikes. Environmental objects deal real burst damage and stagger.

  • › Grab objects during enemy wind-ups for free interrupts
  • › Heavy objects stagger bosses faster than normal attacks
  • › Chain thrown objects into elemental reactions for bonus damage
04

Dodge & Counter Window

A precise dodge triggers a counter-window: time slows briefly and your next attack gains bonus damage. The core skill expression of ANANTA combat.

  • › Dodge into attacks, not away, to stay in range
  • › Save counters for boss red-flash moves
  • › Counter-boosted hits are the best reaction triggers

Elemental Reference

Fire Burn damage over time; ignites environmental objects and enemies.
Ice Freeze and shatter — hard crowd control on frozen targets.
Volt Chain lightning and paralysis; conducts across wet surfaces.
Chaos Rift energy — sustained corrosion and anomaly effects.
Wind Pull/push fields and grouping; sets up AoE combos.
Physical Raw kinetic damage and stagger — no reaction dependency.

Combat Progression Path

  1. Learn the dodge counter first — it is free damage and defense in one action.
  2. Build one reaction pair before optimizing full 4-member rotations.
  3. Weaponize the environment — object damage carries early-game content.
  4. Optimize swap timing last; it is the highest skill ceiling and the biggest long-term payoff.
